Questions
Is Wordflare really free?
Yes. Generating, editing and exporting captions is free, with no account and no forced watermark. A small optional wordflare.app tag helps us stay free — you can turn it off.
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. The AI runs inside your browser, so your video and audio never leave your device. The first time, your browser downloads the AI model (about 80–150 MB); after that it is cached.
Which languages are supported?
Wordflare detects the spoken language automatically and works with about 99 languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Hindi, Arabic and Japanese.
Can I edit the captions?
Yes. Click any caption to fix words, add missing ones or delete lines. You can also download an .srt subtitle file.
Why is it slow on my phone?
The AI runs on your own device. Recent computers and phones are fast; older devices take longer. Short clips work best on mobile.
What format is the exported video?
MP4 on most browsers (WebM on some). Export plays your video once in real time while it records, so keep the tab open until it finishes.
